I've been building PCs for over 7 years. Started at 15 pulling working parts out of my local e-waste and getting free machines running again, got better at it, and eventually people started paying me to build theirs. Now i am running a small operation out of Docklands doing IT services custom builds, repairs, upgrades, and buying old fleets off businesses.
I stress test every system before it leaves, FurMark, Cinebench, CrystalDiskInfo, and MemTest86 if i'm not trusting the RAM. This log is some special / cool builds, and the repairs that were actually interesting, and why I picked the parts I picked.
Working on a build inspired by builders like Liquid Haus, with colourful sleeved soft tubing that makes the runs visually appealing. This build uses a 3D-printed bracket in the basement of the case, keeping the pump and messy cables out of the way. Once the coolant has arrived and the loop has been fully pressure tested, this should be one of my most compact and custom builds.
i5-12400 and an RTX 3080 10GB — 1080p high-refresh that still holds 1440p with ray tracing on. Three Noctua fans in a Corsair 4000D Airflow, cabled front and back, repasted and stress-tested before sale. Three months warranty.
Built for a customer needing serious VRAM for a home LLM setup. Intel i9-13900 with 24 cores paired with AMD's flagship 7900 XTX. 32GB DDR5 at 5600MHz. Clean cable management throughout, benchmarked end to end. Sold within 48 hours of listing.
i9-9900K unlocked, RTX 3080 10GB, Phanteks Evolv X. 3D-printed fan grills, braided extensions. Solid 1440p — the unlocked 9900K runs warm under all-core load, and the build page has the power-limit tweak that fixes it.
Customer brought in an ITX build with random shutdowns under load. FurMark for 60 seconds — immediate shutdown. Swapped with a known-good unit, ran stable for 2 hours. SF600 confirmed dead. Replaced same day.
